Build Your Own Prestige - Block 587

Finally got around to lacquering my block and the colors really popped like the description promised. It was fun watching the build process come together, even knowing a block might fail. A unique little piece for my desk.

The block’s surface took the lacquer really well, making the colors pop way more than I expected from the picture. I was a little nervous about the failure rate mentioned, but mine came out perfect and feels solid.

I was pleasantly surprised by how the block held up after I applied a couple coats of lacquer — the finish turned out much richer than the raw block. It’s a fun little project if you’re into customizing your own prestige pieces.
