The grain on this block is way prettier in person than in the listing photo. I rubbed a little lacquer on it and the colors really popped, just like the description said. Now I'm eyeing the rest of the set.

Wasn't sure how a single block would turn out but the grain on mine is genuinely nice, and it's fun that you just pick one from the picture. Hit it with a coat of lacquer and the color really popped, way more than I expected for the price.

The block arrived and the grain took lacquer way better than I expected, the colors really popped after I finished it. Only thing is you don't know exactly which block you're getting since they build it from the one pictured, but mine came out great.
