Wasn't sure I needed the longer version until I actually plugged it in and could finally lean back on the couch instead of perching on the edge of my desk. The 74 inches is the whole point here, and the connection itself sounds identical to the shorter one I already had.

The extra 1.88m finally lets me stretch out on the couch instead of sitting right next to my amp. Cable feels exactly like the stock one, just longer, which is all I wanted.

Finally I can walk around my desk without yanking my headphones off. The extra 1.88m gives me plenty of slack, and the connector fits just as snugly as the one that came in the box.
